This is the third post in a series revisiting the highlights of the wedding projects I was involved in last year. Here’s my wedding hair and makeup review of 2014 part 3!
Boxhill
Lucy got married in a church, but the reception was in a field in Boxhill like a mini festival, with an ice cream van, fish and chip van, tents etc. Lucy doesn’t wear makeup really at all, but wanted a bit more than normal and also not to have redness come through her cheeks which she does get. I used a heavier base than normal, but it still looks very natural. I really wanted to bring out Lucy’s blue eyes and did a very thin liner and flick. Photographer Jamie Stephenson captures Lucy’s makeup look for the day.
Lucy’s Mum had a bit more “glam” for the day as well.
Pembroke Lodge
Last year I did seem to be creating a lot of soft buns. Gemma was getting married at Pembroke Lodge, but getting ready at the Richmond Gate Hotel . Gemma’s hair was naturally really tight curls. She wanted it up, as she normally has it down and wanted to show off her lovely lace dress. Gemma wanted soft curls not her normal curls. The bun I created I really do love as Gemma had different tones of colours in her hair and I could really show these off. Here’s what photographer Jay Rowden captured.
I used a natural Bobbi Brown base, pinky-cream cheeks. Gemma wanted to go quite bold on the eyes, so big flick and liner on bottom of the eye and inner bottom eye and Mac hug me lipstick.
The Ritz Hotel
Louise’s wedding was at the famous and glamorous The Ritz Hotel. Louise got ready in the top floor suite.
Here is Louise in The Ritz lift made out like a library.
Louise wanted total glam make up and big hair like Jennifer Lopez. I really did go very dark on her eyes, fake strip lashes and one thing Louise really wanted was really bright lips. We went for Mac Morange. It really did suit her and her skin tone.

Cannizaro House
Lucie’s makeup was created at the beautiful Cannizaro House London. Lucie had amazing skin anyway, so I just used a tinted moisturiser. I really wanted to bring out Lucie’s green eyes, which I think I achieved. I used lots of golds, champagne and browns, with black soft liner on top of eyelid and on inner eye and under bottom eye.
