Below is a recreation of the building of Waterloo bridge nick named ‘Ladies bridge’ in the 1940’s. I headed up a team of hair and makeup artists to help re create the picture for fine arts photographer Julia Fullerton-Batten.
We did this by Kew bridge London. This interview is in Professional Photography Magazine. We re created 1940’s Hair and Makeup. There was a lot of dirtying down as the girls were working. In the 1940’s though the Hair was immaculate, but always wrapped up in a scarf .

The beach picture by the River Thames was shoot in a studio against green screen. Each person was photographed individually.

Some behind the scenes
Julia wanted a modern pop of colour on some of the makeups here. I used on the lady in the turquoise suit, a pop of pink on the eyes and the lips.
