One of the things I love most about being a professional hair and makeup artist is how different it can be from one day to the next! Whether you’re working with a bride, on a film set or at London Fashion Week, it’s always such fun to meet so many new people from different backgrounds and work in luxurious locations.
A recent favourite of mine was when I got the chance to be the hair and makeup artist on a very exciting photo shoot with international Jazz musician Nathan Haines and his wife, model/clothing company owner Jamie Webster, for the announcement of their pregnancy being covered by New Zealand’s Women’s Day Magazine. It was a fantastic day to be a part of!

We started the shoot off on the beautiful rooftops of New Zealand House (the views were spectacular!).
Here, we made the most of the sunshine and captured the dewy makeup that I, as the shoot makeup artist, had chosen to use on Jamie, beautifully.
For this look, I used one of my go-to makeup artist brands, Nars, and used their sheer glow foundation for a lovely, luminescent base; The makeup artist favorite, Urban Decay‘s Naked palettes 1 and 3 for a delicately defined eye and Stila convertible colour which gives such a natural, healthy glow – perfect for a mum to be!
