This is the second post in a series revisiting the highlights of the wedding projects I was involved in last year. So without further a do, here’s my wedding hair and makeup review of 2014 part 2!
The Grove
Alla got married in the beautiful surroundings of The Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire. Photographer Lucy J Toms has captured Alla’s beauty.
Soft golden browns for a smokey eye, flawless skin and a pink cream cheek, with a natural pink lip colour. Soft roller curl with Catwalk curl cream to smooth out the hair.
Number Sixteen
I was lucky enough to work with Jeff Ascough again for a wedding at Number Sixteen. Lindsey was wearing an amazing Vivienne Westwood wedding dress and hair piece, so she wanted her hair up to show off the dress and also the beautiful head piece. So we decided on a structured side bun, showing off the highlights in her hair.
Lindsey had amazing eyes to makeup and I went for quite a glam look for her. Really bringing out her eyes and her cheek bones. I did go very dark in the socket to make them stand out.
Here you can see Lindsey’s mum went for the French twist up do. Her hair was amazing to do, as it did exactly what I wanted it to do. But there was LOTS of backcombing!!!!
Amalfi coast
Photographer Karina Lax of Richmond pictures got married on the Amalfi coast, Italy and I was lucky enough to do her hair and makeup. Karina wanted to go for a real 1960’s look, with big hair and curls and the 60’s matte eye and colour. Karina also wanted her vail to be big at the top, so had to make sure this was pinned right. Photographer Nick White captured some of the day. I just love this first picture.
London
Daniella wanted length to her hair, so I got a hair match and we ordered some extensions for her. She wanted her hair coming down one side of her neck, as she wanted to show off her lovely side on the other side of her head. We used lots of light golds on the eyes and I went in darker in the socket. Daniella was happy to do a big flick and under the eye as soft liner. The brighter pink lips was a colour of Daniella’s and I really think this off sets the look, with the amazing lace dress.
